About Me

People say I'm:

witty (on occasion), clever (when I need to be), and sweet (boy, have I got them fooled). Honestly, it all depends on who you ask. My friends think I am intelligent, honest (sometimes brutally) and ambitious. Lately, they have been calling me brave as I have finally bitten the bullet and submitted my work to a publisher, something I find extremely frightening. My co-workers would call me driven, organized and creative. My brother calls me stingy, anal and funny-looking (what do you expect, he's my brother). And my parents call me Julie.
Describe Yourself:

I say I'm a certifiable pain in the butt. I'm sarcastic (or facetious, sometimes both). I'm a nonconformist. I hate going along with the crowd. I must have a taste for toe jam, as I keep sticking my foot in my mouth. I have a loud, full-bodied laugh, which I love to use, so I am made fun of a lot (don't worry. I'm used to it). I also have great taste in friends, if I don't mind saying so myself. And I am lucky to have such supportive parents and a brother who is more funny-looking than I am (so there).

any mystery, I also like India Fan, Pride and Prejudice and Les Miserables, But I'll read anything, Janet Evanovich, Lilian Jackson Braum, Frank Perritti, Ted Decker, Harlan Coben, Gilbert Morris, Jane Austen, Victoria Holt, Phyllis Whitney

Man from Snowy River, The Princess Bride, the Harry Potter movies, Miss Potter & any Disney animated movie, Pride & Prejudice (the BBC version with Colin Firth)

Started a new novel, whose setting is the company I work for. Murder mystery (new writing genre for me). And no I'm not vicariously killing my boss...I only do that in my dreams. (insert evil laugh here)

Hope your're having a good day. I am contacting you because you live in the Dallas area and I am putting together a small meeting of Gather members who live there for next week and wanted to invite you to come and meet some of your fellow Gather friends.

I will be in Arlington for a meeting for 3 days next week and several of the Gather group are interested in a face to face meeting for coffee or perhaps a dutch treat meal around the visit. If you are interested, please let me know and I will be back with particulars as soon as possible and a list of those who are planning on coming.
